AICE Media Studies

  How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? My project represents social groups/issues because for some people they’re computers or laptops may not work so they don’t have a liable resource where they can do all of their personal work/business.  Also people like to be able to focus on one thing and cancellation of sound cloud do that and apple has all the things that could be very resourceful to them. How does your project engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?  My product engages with audiences by starting off with a popular up beat song. By using a well known and widely loved song, viewers are automatically hooked and want to continue viewing.  It would be distributed as a real media text online.  This commercial would be an ad played on YouTube videos. How did your production skills develop throughout this project? My production skills developed heavily throughout this project.  I began

 Looking back this was a really fun project to do.  My group pulled through every step of the way I knew I had had a team and that they had my backs.  This was a super fun experience with the girls filing from behind the camera while also being apart of the production was very intriguing because I got to feel what it is to be in front and behind the camera.  Shooting many times to get the right shot and re taking the scenes so that it was perfect was an amazing experience and I am very satisfied with our commercial. 

 Today I went over the clips we all took together and I picked out the ones that were best fitted and fit the time stamp.  I also noticed in the videos one of the angles were off so I suggested for us to go re film the clip.  I worked from behind the camera this time, I filmed from three different angles this time.  It didn’t take me much time to film and get back to the class to work on editing.  I was missing one person from my group they weren’t here today so we had to work without them. I got through editing the beginning  part of the clips we had. I decide to figure out what song could go over our commercial and match the vibe while still be relevant to the topic of choice. Because we Deere missing a member it was kind of hard to make decisions on the auditing without her being here.  This is especially because she is the main one who was behind the editing and helping us with the camera angles and the specific shots that we need for the whole commercial as a whole.  I edited some

   Today we had to continue filming, but couldn't. One of our group members, Faith, was sick, and we needed her to continue filming. On the first day of filming we shot all the scenes that included Janiya, and not faith. However, the last scene we had Faith. This scene had Janiya in it as well so we couldn't just switch actresses. So, we did not film any other scenes today, but were productive in another sense. We began by viewing every clip that we had, eliminating ones that would not work. We then edited every clip to the length that we needed. We couldn't edit any further because we were lacking half of our clips. After doing all that we could with the clips we had, we stopped. We began just discussing what we were going to do for our next production day. We knew that we were missing necessary clips so we hope Faith feels better.  Janiya and I discussed our plan if Faith were to still be sick that day.  We will re-film the final clip with a different actor in place of Fa
